About the Student and Teacher Technology Transformation Teams (ST4) Project
The ST4 Project helps teachers and students use technology to support STEM activities in the classroom. This project is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation, and is a collaboration between Maricopa Community Colleges and the Arizona Department of EducationThe Student and Teacher Technology Transformation Teams (ST4) project will provide teachers and students the opportunity to work in teams and use web-accessible tools to produce design-based learning activities that consist of technical solutions to current, real-world problems. In addition, teachers and students will have access to a closed beta game-based learning management system, which may be used for delivery of content to students.
Teachers will walk away from the project with learning labs/activities that utilize the engineering design process and technology to focus on solutions to current and local real-world problems in their disciplines.
ST4 Project Goals and Objectives
Goal 1: Improve learning effectiveness and collaborative skills of teachers and students in STEM programs via ICT training and design-based learning.
Goal 2: Expand, disseminate, and sustain the ST4 Training Model, curriculum, and positive impacts in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in Arizona and nationwide.
